I’m Sandy Fakhoury, an Egyptian media professional, podcast host, producer, entrepreneur, wife, and mother of two, based in Dubai.
I believe the most interesting stories are found in the different stations of people's lives.
My journey in media started in Egypt, where I graduated in Mass Communication, majoring in Radio & TV with a minor in Journalism. I then spent 11 years working in television, including my time at Abu Dhabi TV, where I worked as both a producer and director. Working behind the scenes taught me how to build a story, manage a production, and, most importantly, understand what makes people connect with a story.
But what has always fascinated me most is people.
I love sitting down with someone, getting beyond the surface, and understanding the different stations of their life — the experiences, decisions, challenges, successes, and turning points that brought them to where they are today.
In 2021, I decided to take a leap and create my own podcast. At that time, podcasting was still relatively new and uncommon in our region, with very few people seriously exploring the format.
For the first time, I stepped outside the structure of television and used my own money to build a show from the ground up — taking on the roles of presenter, producer, and director myself.
I produced around 12 episodes featuring influencers and actresses, but the experience came with unexpected challenges, and I eventually had to put the project on hold.
I then spent almost three years working in real estate. It was a completely different chapter that taught me more about business, communication, and people.
But I never really stopped thinking about podcasting.
In 2024, I returned to it — this time with a bigger vision and with podcasting as my business. That became Sandy Station.

The name Sandy Station comes from my belief that we all have different stations in life. I wanted to create a space where we could explore those stations and the stories behind them.
Today, I host two podcasts.
Sandy Station focuses on conversations with celebrities and public figures, exploring the different stations of their lives beyond what we see in the spotlight — their journeys, choices, challenges, and the moments that shaped them.

I want my listeners to hear the questions they themselves may have been thinking about. I want them to discover new points of view, challenge what they already believe, and leave every conversation with something they can learn from or apply to their own lives.
Podcasting is a huge part of my life, but family is at the heart of it.
I'm married and a mother of two. I love cooking dinner for my family, spending time together, and staying close to my parents, my brother, and my extended family.
I'm also passionate about reading and learning. After stepping away from books for a while, I found my way back to reading and audiobooks a few years ago and have since gone through more than 27 books.
I've also always been someone who listens deeply. I like to dig beneath the surface of a conversation while respecting people's boundaries — because sometimes the most meaningful stories are found in the questions we don't usually ask.
I’m still exploring what success truly means to me. I know it's not only about money, although building a sustainable business matters. And while I don't necessarily want to be a celebrity, I do want to reach people and use my voice to create meaningful influence.
Perhaps that's another station I'm currently in.
Still learning. Still asking questions. Still listening. And always curious about people's stories.
